A Fond Farewell to Mrs Emma Roberts

At the end of the Spring term, we said goodbye to our headteacher, Mrs Emma Roberts, as she leaves us for an exciting new challenge in a larger school. We celebrated her incredible 12 years at Symondsbury with a magical Disney‑inspired farewell service.
Children and staff dressed as Disney characters, retold a personalised traditional fairy tale of Mrs Roberts’ time at the school, and filled the hall with song. It was a heartfelt and fitting tribute to her dedication and leadership.
We send Mrs Roberts all our love and best wishes for her next adventure.

Stepping forward to lead the school will be Mrs Lisa O’Keefe, Assistant Headteacher, who will act as head until Mr Nic Harris joins us in September 2026. We are excited to begin this next chapter together as a strong and supportive school community.
